  • What is Manual Therapy?

Manual Therapy is a technique where a physiotherapist uses their hands to mobilise and manipulate the extremities and spine. Furthermore use of neurodynamic techniques, muscle stretching, stabilising exercises and specifically adapted exercises the patient can do at home.

  • How Manual Therapy is done?

Manual Therapy is a manipulative treatment used by physiotherapists and manual therapists. It mostly includes mobilisations and manipulations of joints and muscles. Mobilisation is the passive movement or a sustained stretch within a physiological range of movement. Manipulation is  sudden small amplitude movement at a joint. Manual Therapy can help joint's lubrication through the "synovial sweep" mechanism and can facilitate muscle's relaxation.
